From one thats been there and done all that. Save your money. You won't be satisifed for long. LairdRose is right. The Savage and for that matter most 600's to 650's have too many limitations for any serious highway running. But the 1400 is just awesome, imagine over twice the horsepower, you won't outgrow it, and you can comfortably take long trips at highway speeds.
